Bungie’s Destiny is more than just your typically shooter – which probably explains why more than 4.5 million users took part in the beta test this past July. It mashes MMOs, co-op shooting, exploration, vehicular combat, raids, socializing, questing and death-match into one big package…and that’s apparently only scratching the surface. Despite its MMO properties, Bungie has revealed certain limitations to the system such as item trading between players.
When asked if it would in-game item trading between players, Bungie wrote, “Nope. We want you to earn ’em. You should be able to tell a badass story for every sweet jewel in your arsenal.
“Once you earn them, the various Guardians under your account will be able to trade them. But weapons belong to the players who acquire them through action and bravery.”
There could be an item economy somewhere down the line but when Destiny launches on September 9th (where ever you are in the world) for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 and PS4, whatever items you want are solely up to you.
