Destiny’s Xur has returned to the Tower, carrying a new selection of Exotics. You can find him in the Hangar Lounge, next to the new jukebox, and he’ll be there till April 19th, 1 AM PST.
The Exotic weapon of choice this week is The Last Word, a hand cannon renowned for its high rate of fire and signature perk that increases hip-fire accuracy and damage. The weapon is available for 23 Strange Coins and while not quite the right fit for PvE, it absolutely wrecks in PvP. Unless you’re combating The Last Word from a good range with Thorn or a Scout Rifle or turning a corner and shotgunning them immediately, you’ll find The Last Word to be quite the nuisance.
Other Exotic Gear includes Helm of Inmost Light (Exotic Titan helm), Radiant Dance Machine (Exotic Hunter boots) and Voidfang Vestments (Exotic Warlock chest), each available for 13 Strange Coins. You can pick up Exotic Chest engrams for 23 Motes of Light and Exotic Shards for 7 Strange Coins.
Exotic upgrades can be viewed here. Just make sure to carry a good 7000 to 8000 Glimmer and an Exotic Shard before upgrading (and remember that you’re progress for that gear will be reset).
