Diablo 2: Resurrected – Act 1 and 2 Remastered Cinematics Revealed

The classic cinematics have been enhanced significantly but still retain the cinematography and mood of the original release.

Ahead of the early access beta for Diablo 2: Resurrected this weekend, Blizzard Entertainment has released the remastered cinematics for Act 1 and 2. The plot starts out with Deckard Cain being rescued from Tristam and then pursuing a being known as the Dark Wanderer, who subsequently travels east to the desert. Check it out below.

Though the core game features 3D models overlaid on top of the original sprites, the gameplay for Diablo 2: Resurrected is completely unchanged from the original. It does feature quality of life changes like Shared Stash (which has been expanded to three tabs following alpha feedback) and auto pick-up for gold.

As for the upcoming beta, pre-purchasers can check it out from August 13th to 17th. The beta will be available for all players from August 20th to 23rd and allows for playing Act 1 and Act 2 along with five of the seven core classes (with Druid and Paladin being new). Diablo 2: Resurrected launches on September 23rd for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, PC and Nintendo Switch.
