Blizzard Entertainment’s Diablo 4 is generating hype leading into the upcoming beta. This weekend will see pre-orders gaining early access from March 17th to 19th, while the open beta is available for everyone from March 24th to 26th. However, one question that’s been circulating is whether the full game will be available on day one for Game Pass.
On Twitter, Diablo general manager has confirmed there are “no plans for that.” Granted, this could change later, but everyone hoping to get in on the action in June will need to buy the game.
Fergusson’s response comes after Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard has been facing issues. While said hindrances have mostly been about Call of Duty, it’s unlikely that anything can happen with the publisher’s properties under Xbox until the acquisition is complete. As always, stay tuned for more updates.
Diablo 4 launches on June 6th for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC. Head here for more details on the open beta’s requirements on PC.
