Blizzard Entertainment’s Diablo 4 will have an open beta from March 24th to 26th, with pre-purchases gaining early access from March 17th to 19th. In the meantime, the development team has released a new video about the world of Sanctuary. Check it out below.
Sanctuary has five regions – Kehjistan, a desert with sweeping dunes; Scosglen, inspired by Scotland; Fractured Peaks, based on the Carpathian Mountains; The Dry Steppes, more of a mountainous desert region; and the swamps of Hawezar. Even more impressive is the transition between them. Walking from Fractured Peaks into Hawezar, you’ll see waterfalls formed by snow melting, entering the large basin contributing to the swamp water.
The team promises something new in every corner, whether it’s enemies, quests, safe camps, events, resources or dungeons. Dungeons are also situated to feel like they’re part of the world, so Hawezar’s are flooded, Kehjistan’s are full of sand, and so on.
More information on Diablo 4, like its Strongholds and Armor system, will be revealed in a Developer Update livestream on February 28th, so stay tuned. The game is out on June 6th for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC.
