Diablo 4 Doesn’t Allow Map Overlays While Moving

Series GM Rod Fergusson also confirmed there are "no plans at the moment" to add support en route to the game's launch in June.

Following its open beta of Diablo 4 last month, the team at Blizzard Entertainment detailed its response to feedback. This meant some UI fixes, nerfs to some abilities (Chain Lightning, you were so young) and buffs to classes like Barbarian and Druid. However, one important question remains: Can PC players hit the Tab key to enable a map overlay?

It should be a given – several Diablo-style action RPGs like Path of Exile allow for the same. However, not only is it absent in Diablo 4, but series GM Rod Fergusson said there are, “No plans at the moment” to add it. There may be changes to the current mini-map to display more of the surrounding area. But for now, you can’t run around and concurrently view a map of the surrounding area.

Diablo 4 is out on June 6th for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5 and PC. There will be a Developer Update livestream on April 20th with even more details, so stay tuned.
