Diablo 4 Launches in 2023 – Necromancer, Crossplay, Xbox Series X Gameplay, and Much More Revealed

New gameplay for the action RPG features massive World Bosses and environments, the teases of endgame and support for "years to come."

Along with announcing free-to-play early access for Overwatch 2 this year, Blizzard Entertainment revealed a new trailer for Diablo 4. It showcased the fifth and final class – the Necromancer, capable of exploding corpses and other dark rituals. Check it out below.

The Necromancer should be familiar to all Diablo fans and can raise skeletons, including an imposing Bone Golem, to fight against their enemies. Xbox Series X gameplay is also showcased for the first time with massive open-world environments, tons of gore, and hard-hitting combat. Character customization is also showcased, allowing players to create their own characters.

Strongholds consist of hostile territory controlled by enemies. Clearing them out will unlock new towns, dungeons, and more. Local events can also pop up and either present unique stories or giant World Bosses that require cooperation. Of course, this is a Shared World game with cross-play fully supported. Couch co-op is also supported. Specific zones for PvP are also available, though being too good may mark you for execution.

The end game is also teased with new dungeons, new Paragon Boards, new items, and much more. Blizzard also says it will support the game for years to come. Diablo 4 is out in 2023 for Xbox consoles and PC. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime.
