DICE Researching Oculus Rift and Wants Students to Volunteer, May Be For Battlefield 4?

Frostbite Engine to use Oculus Rift in the future?

DICE has posted a new job listing on their website, which may indicate that they are testing out the Oculus Rift with Battlefield 4.

Here is the job description:

  • Explore existing research for relevant subjects
  • Investigate and implement support for Oculus Rift SDK in the Frostbite Engine
  • Investigate and implement techniques for improving user experience

It seems that DICE just wants to reasearch how the Oculurs Rift can be used or supported in the Frostbite Engine. Oculus Rift has caught many developers eyes already, including Valve and Hawken developers.

Team Fortress 2 and Hawken are the first two games to ever use Oculus Rift that are out on the market right now, once the hardware launches. Now it seems that DICE wants to jump on the bandwagon and see what they can do for their current or future titles.
