You know what time of the week it is, right? It’s Sunday, which means that the Famitsu weekly charts for the most anticipated games in Japan has been updated again. And as always, we know that the same few games that the country has been looking forward to for a while now, games that have really taken an extraordinarily long time to release.
You know what games they are- Final Fantasy 15, Dragon Quest 11, Persona 5, Final Fantasy 7 Remake, and Kingdom Hearts 3. How did these games all fare on the charts this week? As it turns out, fairly well. The Final Fantasy hype is in full gear, as Final Fantasy 15 is far and away the most anticipated game in Japan at the moment. The second spot goes to Persona 5, which has a comfortable lead over Final Fantasy 7 Remake, which in turn leads both the PS4 and 3DS versions of Dragon Quest 11.
Kingdom Hearts 3 falls to ninth place on the list, well behind Pokemon Sun and Moon, which makes it debut on the list, and appears at eighth place. I imagine that once Persona 5 launch details are finally announced this Thursday, it will see some serious gains in hype and anticipation.
