Dishonored features Bethesda’s starriest lineup yet

Up until now, the last two Fallout and Elder Scrolls titles have each featured at least one big name voice actor: Liam Neeson in Fallout 3, Patrick Stewart and Sean Bean in Oblivion, Felicia Day in Fallout: New Vegas and Christopher Plummer in Skryim. Well, imagine taking all those names and putting them into the same game. Nice, isn’t it?

Well that’s almost precisely what Bethesda have done with Dishonored, which is set to feature: Susan Sarandon, Brad Dourif, Carrie Fisher, John Slattery, Lena Headey and Chloë Grace Moretz. So that’s an Oscar, a Golden Globe, an Emmy and a whole host of other prestigious awards all crammed into one game.

Susan Sarandon is to voice Granny Rags, an elderly blind woman who loiters around bins, dementedly shouting at rats. Brad Dourif is Piero, serving as Corvo’s Q, creator of his mask and range of gadgets at his disposal. Carrie Fisher is head of propaganda, her voice will be heard throughout Dunwall through government loudspeakers.

Raphaël Colantonio, president of Arkane Studios said, “Having such talented actors voice Dishonored’s compelling cast of characters adds a rich, powerful element to the game

“We want to draw people into this virtual world and make it feel real. This celebrated cast adds wonderful depth and credibility to the overall Dishonored gameplay experience.”

Dishonored comes out on 12th October in Europe, and will also feature at this year’s Gamescom, where we’ll be getting more hands-on action than a sailor on shore leave.
