Following some non-subtle teases, Larian Studios has finally confirmed that Divinity: Original Sin 2 will be heading to Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The fantasy role-playing game will be published by Bandai Namco and releases in August 2018.
Touted as one of the best games of 2017, if not one of the best role-playing games ever created, Divinity: Original Sin 2 follows the protagonist on their quest to obtain Divinity and push back the Voidwoken. Players can either create their own character with different subclasses, traits and backstories or enroll in one of the Origin Stories.
These are pre-made characters with their own defined traits and stories that you can also run across in the main story and take on as allies. The game’s overall scope, quality of writing, compelling combat and rich world ensure a strong 50 hour playtime (and that’s without trying to complete everything).
Divinity: Original Sin 2 already shipped with support for Xbox controllers on Windows with supporting UI functionality so it should be interesting to see what other changes are made for consoles. Check out our official review here in the meantime.
