Bethesda started their conference off by showing us DOOM, and while, yes, DOOM looks great, there were some unexpectedly great announcements associated with it that we did not expect at all. For instance, when Bethesda showed off the multiplayer mode, which looks like the classic arena shooter that we all grew up playing, and which has become lost in recent years, it was hard not to be pumping your fist in excitement.
That wasn’t all, either- Bethesda also announced DOOM SnapMap, which seems to be a custom set of user creation tools, allowing players to create and customize any kind of maps, with any kind of objective and parameters that they want. Even game logic can be edited, and all of this is delivered with some wonderful, accessible UI. The best part is, DOOM SnapMap will be available on all platforms- it won’t be limited to just PC players.
DOOM will be out on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more coverage from E3.
