Dragon Age: The Veilguard’s Full Voice Cast Has Been Revealed

Alex Jordan, Bryony Corrigan, Erika Ishii, and Jeff Berg have been confirmed as the four actors who'll be portraying protagonist Rook in the upcoming action RPG.

BioWare and EA finally lifted the veil (heh) on Dragon Age: The Veilguard last month with the action RPG’s long overdue unveiling, and with its launch pegged for this fall, there’s going to be plenty more updates shared on the game in the weeks and months to come. Some of that will trickle through later this week with panel for the game at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC), ahead of which BioWare has detailed the fantasy RPG’s full voice cast (or for its central characters, at least).

For starters, there’s Rook, the protagonist who will have four different voices available, with two options each for US/North America and UK/Europe personalities. The actors portraying Rook have been confirmed as Alex Jordan (Cyberpunk 2077), Bryony Corrigan (Baldur’s Gate 3), Erika Ishii (Apex Legends), and Jeff Berg (Battlefield 1).

And what about Rook’s seven companions, i.e. the rest of the titular Veilguard? For starters, Alli Hallis is returning to voice Harding, as she did in 2014’s Dragon Age: Inquisition. Davrin the Grey Warden will be played by Ike Amadi (Mortal Kombat 1), Lucanis the assassin by Zach Mendez (Horizon Forbidden West), private detective Neve by Jessica Clarke (True Blood), Veil Jumper Bellara by Jee Young Han (Perry Mason), necromancer Emmrich by Nick Boraine (Call of Duty: Modern Warfare), and dragon hunter Taash by Jin Maley (Star Trek: Picard).

Additionally, BioWare has also reiterated that Gareth David-Lloyd and Brian Bloom are returning as Solas and Varric respectively, through the footage that has been released for the game so far had, of course, already confirmed that. There are other characters, however, including returning ones, that BioWare says it has yet to talk about.

“We have so many more people to introduce you to, including some returning characters, but we’re not quite ready to reveal all those yet, because of you know – story spoilers,” the developer says.

Several members of the cast that has been revealed so far will be appearing at the game’s aforementioned SDCC panel though. Scheduled for this Friday, July 26, at 3:15 PM Pacific, the panel will feature Jessica Clarke, Nick Boraine, Alli Hallis, and Zach Mendez, in addition to creative director Jon Epler and creative performance director Ashley Barrow.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard launches this fall for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. A specific release date has yet to be announced.
