Dragon Ball FighterZ Beta Client Now Available for Consoles

The open beta will start on January 14th (or January 13th if you pre-ordered).

Arc System Works’ Dragon Ball FighterZ will be hosting its open beta on January 14th with pre-order customers receiving early access for January 13th. However, the beta client is currently available to download for both Xbox One and PS4. The beta client is only 2.4 GB on PS4.

There’s no point trying to play the beta now because it won’t connect online. You’ll have to wait till 12 AM PST, January 13th or 12 AM PST, January 14th in order to take part. Along with a roster of 11 playable characters that includes Goku, Vegeta, Beerus and Adult Gohan, the open beta will feature a number of stages and three different modes to brawl across. This includes a practice mode for those who want to sharpen up their skills.

Published by Bandai Namco, Dragon Ball FighterZ will be available worldwide on January 26th. Japan gets it on February 6th. If you’re curious about a meaty single player mode, don’t worry – the story mode explores three major story arcs with a variety of characters to play.
