Dragon Ball FighterZ Closed Beta Registration Delayed to August 22nd

Due to overwhelming "excitement and enthusiasm", the beta will be expanded.

Bandai Namco’s Dragon Ball FighterZ, developed by Arc System Works (Guilty Gear, BlazBlue), will be hosting its closed beta for the fighter on September 16th to 18th. Registrations were supposed to start on July 26th but this process has been delayed to August 22nd. This is due to the “volume of excitement and enthusiasm surrounding this announcement” and the publisher has “decided to expand the capacity of the closed beta” as a result.

The beta for Dragon Ball FighterZ will feature nine characters, namely Piccolo, Krillin, Future Trunks, Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Frieza, Cell and Majin Buu. We’ve seen the majority of these fighters revealed at E3 2017 with Piccolo, Krillin and Future Trunks being revealed in the weeks afterwards.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is set to release in 2018 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. It will feature 3v3 tag team combat, Super moves that pay homage to the famous anime series and launchers that look very similar to Guilty Gear’s. The art-style is also very Guilty Gear-esque with 3D characters fighting in a 2D perspective. No information has been offered on the various modes that will be in the game.
