Though Bandai Namco announced that Dragon Ball FighterZ would be out on February 1st 2018 in Japan, it’s now been confirmed that the fighter will arrive on January 26th worldwide. North America and Europe won’t have to wait till later after all. To make things even better, Dragon Ball FighterZ will have an open beta on the PS4 and Xbox One in January.
As for the campaign, Bandai Namco revealed that it woul be split into three arcs. The Super Warriors Arc follows the Saiyans, the Super Villain Arc is about the bad guys and the Android Arc takes place from the Androids’ perspective (obviously). Players can choose different places to fight based on a tactical map that will affect their abilities in combat.
For multiplayer, there’s something called Circle Match mode. Up to eight players can battle each other with all four fights happening at the same time. Which is pretty par for the course in Dragon Ball Z. World Match is the usual casual and ranked playlist. Players can also expect a Season Pass for the game that will add eight additional characters. If you pre-order the digital version, then you get early access to the beta in January.
