Dragon’s Dogma 2 Officially Launches on March 22nd, 2024

Set in a parallel world, players once again assume the role of the Arisen and take the help of Pawns to defeat the dragon.

Capcom finally held the Dragon’s Dogma 2 Showcase and confirmed that the open-world action RPG will launch on March 22nd, 2024, for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC. Pre-orders are available now – check out the latest trailer below.

Though the setting is somewhat similar to the first game, it takes place in a parallel world (which is four times bigger). How this affects the story remains unknown, but the player will still have their heart removed by the iconic dragon to become an Arisen. This time, they’re in a plot involving the kingdom of Vermund, with Queen Disa installing a false Arisen as the king.

Meanwhile, there’s Battahl, the beast kingdom led by Nadinia, the High Priestess. The nation treats Pawns and the Arisen differently from Vermund but agrees that the dragon is a threat to deal with. Other such characters will pop up during one’s journey, and there are new locations, like the Elves’ Sacred Arbor, to explore.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 will launch with a Standard and Deluxe Edition, with the latter containing several in-game items. Head here for more details and here for the PC requirements.
