Dragon’s Dogma 2 finally has release date and more details on its story. However, director Hideaki Itsuno and producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi didn’t stop there. They also revealed extensive new gameplay, including a fight against the massive Talos.
Like Shadow of the Colossus, players must stop the Talos by climbing on it and destroying the weak points. It’s capable of decimating bridges and other environments, which is something to behold. A new Vocation, the Trickster, was also revealed. Available only to the Arisen, it uses illusions to cause monsters to attack each other.
It can also buff Pawns, essentially acting as a support that hangs back. The Sacred Arbor, where the Elves reside, was also showcased. The Elves have a unique language, which the Arisen won’t understand, but a nearby Pawn fluent in the language can interpret.
There’s also the character creator, which uses photogrammetry to create realistic characters. Several options are available for customizing the player character and Main Pawn, including images for choosing your look and refining it further.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 launches on March 22nd, 2024, for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC.
