Dragon’s Dogma 2 Update Adds Prioritize Graphics and Performance Options for Consoles

PS5 and Xbox Series X players can either play at 1728p outputted at 2160p resolution and 50 to 60 FPS or native 2160p with 30 to 40 FPS.

A new update is available for Dragon’s Dogma 2, with Capcom adding options to Prioritize Performance or Prioritize Graphics on consoles. As a new tweet reveals, the former features a 1728p rendering resolution outputted to 2160p with a frame rate of 50 to 60 FPS for PS5 and Xbox Series X.

The latter will render and output at 2160p, offering much sharper image quality but bringing the performance down to 30 to 40 FPS. On the Xbox Series S, both options deliver 1440p rendering resolution and 2160p output resolution. The only difference is 35 to 40 FPS on Prioritize Performance and 30 to 35 FPS with Prioritize Graphics, as baffling as it sounds.

Of course, the frame rate will vary during “high-load situations.” The last update made it so that town centers don’t tank your frames, but performance drops could occur when there’s a lot of action. Further information is required, so stay tuned.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 launched on March 22nd for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. It’s sold three million units as of May. Check out our review here.
