Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen Japanese Release Date Announced as April 25th

The eagerly awaited DLC is expected to hit Western markets soon after.

Thanks to a live stream from Famitsu, we now have confirmation that Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen, a downloadable content pack for Capcom’s surprisingly good action RPG, will be arriving on April 25th for Japan.

The DLC is set to be a disc release in Japan, priced at 4,990 yen (roughly $56) and released for Xbox 360 and PS3. Dark Arisen will add some interesting new content such as a Hard difficulty mode and a Speedrun mode.

Gamers can also look forward to fighting new enemies such as Greater Goblin, Goblin Shaman, and Death (wait, seriously?). That’s not counting new weapons and a new dungeon in Bitterblack Isle. To top off the package, there will be Japanese voice-overs, something which Dragon’s Dogma skipped out on.

While there hasn’t been word on a Western release, the DLC is expected to release in North America and Europe around the same time as Japan, due to the game’s popularity.
