Despite mixed critical reception, developer Techland’s highly anticipated Dying Light 2 Stay Human has enjoyed an incredibly succcesful launch. And though it didn’t perform as well as it should from a technical perspective on Xbox Series consoles, the game’s latest update has added a new graphics mode alongside a slew of other fixes.
Dying Light 2 Stay Human on Xbox will now feature a new 60+ FPS mode through support for Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) on supported displays. This uncaps the game’s frame rate, and while it might not always hit its intended 120 FPS target every time, players on high-refresh displays will surely notice some added responsiveness to the game. Additionally, the patch also fixes a number of frequently occurring co-op bugs and makes other “balance improvements”. This update is also available for PlayStation users, although different fixes have been issued in that version.
Fans have also requested Techland to enable 60 FPS on the Xbox Series S, although it seems that the console’s weak GPU is holding them back at the moment. In the meanwhile, read our review for Dying Light 2 Stay Human through here.
