Dying Light 2 is set to come out at the beginning of 2022. The game has had at least one public delay as well as reports that development has not gone well, so it’ll be interesting to see how that shapes up when everything is said and done. In the meantime, however, its predecessor seems to still be getting some support with something fans have been wanting for a long time.
The original Dying Light has enjoyed support for many years, making it one of the most supported single player focused title out there. It even got a recent re-release, the Platinum Edition, which will see the game come to the Switch later this year. But that isn’t all. On the official Twitter, in responding to a question for a 60 FPS patch for next gen, it was confirmed that that the team is working on a next gen patch for the original Dying Light. As you can see, there’s no details beyond that.
Dying Light is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, with a Switch version coming in December. Its follow-up, Dying Light 2 Stay Human, is set to come on February 4th, 2022 for all those platforms as well as PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
