EA’s annual football sim series will be changing its name with this year’s EA Sports FC 24, which has now been officially unveieled, with a fully gameplay reveal set to arrive in a couple of days. Along with that announce, EA has also confirmed that, true to leaks, Manchester City striker Erling Haaland will be the cover star for this year’s Standard Edition, and that he will be accompanied by a whole crowd on the Ultimate Edition cover.
As leaks revealed shortly before the game’s announcement, in-game renders of 31 total male and female stars from the sport’s past and present will be present on the Ultimate Edition of EA Sports FC 24. In addition to Haaland, this will include the likes of Marcus Rashford, Bukayo Saka, Alex Scott, Zinedine Zidane, Andre Pirlo, Sam Kerr, Vinicius Jr., Jude Bellingham, Selma Bacha, and more. EA Sports FC 24’s launch date and release platforms haven’t yet been confirmed, but leaks have claimed that the game will launch on September 29.
