EA Sports FC 25, the next title in Electronic Arts’ successful football series, is out in September and promises several new features. Along with the new 5v5 Rush format, it includes additional player roles and a new AI model for “revamped team tactics and more realistic collective movement.” However, one of the more underrated changes is the removal of Contracts.
In a new Community Update post, the development team said this change will “enable you to get back to the on-pitch action quicker than before.” As one of the biggest complaints with the mode, Contracts faced criticism for being tedious since they must constantly be reapplied after a set number of matches.
Other changes include less restrictive Evolution Requirements while adding more Evolutions overall, encouraging variety for Player Items. There will also be storage for up to 100 Untradable Duplicate Player cards, making Squad Building Challenges less stressful.
A deep dive into Ultimate Team is coming in August, so stay tuned for more details. EA Sports FC 25 launches on September 27th for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
