The popular, if overdone, racing series Need for Speed has gone through some really strange changes in its life time. The series started out incredibly strong, becoming particularly famous with Need for Speed Underground 2 which is considered the best, but then falling into mediocrity, for lack of a better word.
EA’s studio, Ghost Games, that released the middling at best Need for Speed Rivals are overseeing the next iteration in the series and if the company line is to be believed, the game is “already looking spectacular”.
The game is set to drop at the beginning of fiscal year 2016, but there’s not much information available surrounding the game at the minute. What makes this lack of information worse, is EA’s no-less than weird business model in their Need for Speed: No Limits game which charges players real money for in game gas for their car. Sprawling though they may be, the company still has a somewhat grim public face that they need to work on should they hope for their new game to be a success.
