Elden Ring Crosses 20 Million in Worldwide Shipments and Digital Sales

Nearly one year after its launch, FromSoftware's acclaimed open-world action RPG continues to set massive sales milestones.

Bandai Namco and FromSoftware have announced that Elden Ring passed 20 million worldwide shipments and digital sales. The acclaimed open-world action RPG’s last major milestone was 17.5 million sales, as of September 30th, 2022.

Released on February 25th, 2022, Elden Ring takes place in The Lands Between, with players assuming the role of a Tarnished. Following the Shattering and war for the Great Runes, one must explore the different Legacy Dungeons and defeat the Demigods. Along the way, they’ll encounter various factions and discover weapons, Sorceries, armor, and more to gain an advantage.

Combat is based on the Dark Souls series, though exploration resembles The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Elden Ring has earned extensive acclaim, winning Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2022 and setting digital and physical sales records.

While DLC is rumored, FromSoftware hasn’t officially confirmed anything yet. It’s working on Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon, which is out in 2023 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC.
