Evil Dead Game Is Coming To Consoles And PC, Isn’t VR Project

Campbell says a new Evil Dead won't require a headset to play.

The rumors about Ash Williams showing up in Mortal Kombat 11 just don’t seem to die. The man behind the iconic character, the chin master himself Bruce Campbell, has denied it on two separate occasions. Whether that’s true or not, only time will tell. But in one denial, Campbell claimed the main reason was that an Evil Dead game is actually coming soon, and they don’t want to overexpose the character. Today, we got a few more details on the project from the king himself.

On his official Twitter, Campbell took to reconfirm that an Evil Dead game is coming, and also said that it would be a project that would release on consoles and PC. He also said that the game is not a VR project, which apparently some fans were speculating about online. You can check it out below.

Evil Dead isn’t a stranger to video games. The original movie actually got an adaptation on the Commodore 64, and has seen multiple games since then on PlayStation and PlayStation 2 based around the generally better known second film. The character returned to the small screen for the three season Ash Vs The Evil Dead for a great live action sendoff. Hopefully we get the video game version of that soon.
