Originally expected out next month, F1 2015’s release has been delayed until July 10. That’s almost exactly one month later than the first planned release date of June 12. Developer Codemasters has pushed back the release likely to iron out a few of the kinks for the first version of this game that is being offered on the PS4 and Xbox One.
It also appears the developers are working hard to hit the 60fps on both consoles. The PS4 version of the game will shoot for 1080p resolution, while the Xbox One gets 900p. Just why the game has been delayed a bit hasn’t been talked about just yet. That means we’ll just have to guess at the reasons.
Considering that the pushback isn’t several months, as it was for games like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, or Batman: Arkham Knight, one has to guess that the issues aren’t that extreme. At the same time, it’s rather unusual to have a game expected out this soon to get a pushback date at all. That might be one of the reasons the company felt like it couldn’t delay the title for very long. F1 2015 will now be available on the Xbox One, PS4 and PC on July 10. Here is a teaser that the developers released today.
