Codemasters’ F1 series of games, which is the official tie-in game for the motorsport every year, is one of the more consistent releases we can count on every year. They always come out at about the same time (in the back half of August), always have the same strengths (incredible accuracy and authenticity, great attention to details, a staggering amount of content), and the same weaknesses (graphics and production values, as well as accessibility for newcomers).
However, F1 2019, the entry for this year, is already mixing things up—at least on the release date side of things. Where the series usually has an August launch date every year, F1 2019 will launch on June 29 this year. This is presumably done to bring it in line with the official F1 season.
Codemasters are working on a car designed with FIA that will be in the game and usable in multiplayer. This marks a first in series history. That apart, we don’t have much to go on about the game, though we are assured there will be “several new game features”. Don’t worry about that.
The game will be out for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
