F1 22 Reveals Hefty PC Requirements for Ray Tracing Modes

EA and Codemasters have officially unveiled F1 22, promising yet more licensed racing sim action and the introduction of new features and modes, such as F1 Life and the addition of supercars. Of course, there’s going to be plenty to dive into in the game, and if you’re planning on playing it on PC, you’re going to want to know what sort of a rig you’ll need to run it. 

As it turns out, F1 22 is looking like quite the demanding game. EA has revealed the full minimum and recommended specs for the game, including ray tracing modes for both, and clearly, the game’s no slouch on this front. 

On minimum settings, you’ll need either an i3-2130 or an FX 4300, along with either a GTX 1050 or an RX 470, and 8 GB of RAM. Meanwhile, if you wan ray tracing enabled on minimum settings, F1 22 drives up its GPU requirements, with either an RTX 2060 or an RX 6700 XT required. On recommended settings, meanwhile, the game requires either an i5 9600K or a Ryzen 5 2600X, along with either a GTX 1660 Ti or an RX 590, and 16 GB of RAM. If you want ray tracing enabled on recommended settings though, the GPU requirement gets cranked up to either an RTX 3070 or an RX 6800.

The game will also require an active internet connection, as well as 80 GB of free storage space. You can check out its full system requirements below.

F1 22 launches on July 1 for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, and Xbox One.
