F1 22 Launches on July 1st – F1 Life, VR Support and Champions Edition Detailed

F1 Sprint, new race options, and the introduction of supercars along with two-player split-screen, MyTeam and Career Mode also confirmed.

EA Sports has announced that Codemasters’ F1 22 will be releasing on July 1st for Xbox One, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC (via the EA App, Origin, Epic Games Store and Steam). Pre-ordering the Standard Edition nets the F1 Life Starter Pack, F1 22 New Era Content and 5,000 PitCoins. Pick up the Champions Edition and you’ll receive the same along with MyTeam Icons, 18000 PitCoins and three days early access.

Pre-ordering either by May 16th nets the Miami-Themed Content Pack with a special livery, helmet, suit, gloves, t-shirt, cap and wall art. Touting a new season with new cars and a new handling model (along with the Miami International Autodrome as one of the tracks), F1 22 also features the introduction of F1 Sprint.

Various other race options are also available with choices for immersive and broadcast-style Pit Stops, Formation Laps and so on. As reported by insider Tom Henderson, F1 Life is the big new feature with players unlocking clothing, accessories and supercars. MyTeam and Career Mode return along with two-player split-screen multiplayer, F2 and online play.

On top of all this is compatibility for VR headsets on PC like Oculus Rift and HTC Vive. More details on the new features will be coming soon so stay tuned.
