F1 23 PC Requirements Revealed, Requires 80 GB Installation Space

Find out more about the requirements for ray-tracing and VR on PC before the racing sim's worldwide launch on June 16th.

Codemasters’ F1 23, the next title in its flagship racing series, is out next month. It features the return of Braking Point, the introduction of F1 World and new mechanics like Red Flags and 35% Race Distance. Thankfully, PC players won’t need super-demanding hardware to experience features like ray-tracing and VR (which isn’t supported on PlayStation VR2).

The Steam page has been updated to include hardware requirements, with minimum requirements including an Intel Core i3-2130 or AMD FX 4300, 8 GB RAM and an Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti or AMD RX 470. Ray-tracing requires a GeForce RTX 2060 or Radeon RX 6700 XT, while an Intel Core i5-9600k or AMD Ryzen 5 2600X and GeForce GTX 1660 Ti or Radeon RX 590 is necessary for VR.

Recommended requirements include a Core i5 9600K or Ryzen 5 2600X, 16 GB RAM, and a GeForce GTX 1660 Ti or AMD RX 590. VR demands a GeForce RTX 2070 or Radeon RX 6700 XT, and ray-tracing requires a GeForce RTX 3070 or Radeon RX 6800, which are pretty reasonable.

Of course, we’ll have to wait for more details on the hardware needed to play at 4K/60 FPS with ray-tracing enabled, so stay tuned. F1 23 is available on June 16th for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC.
