Fallout 4 may have been met with a far more mixed reception than any other Bethesda game previously, but if there was one thing that it did well, and which was met with universal acclaim, it was the crafting system, which is deep, flexible, and intricate. Bethesda themselves realize just how well received the crafting system was, judging by evidence- they keep doubling down on it with their DLC, and Wasteland Workshop was based entirely on the concept of expanding the game’s crafting system even further.
But it looks like Bethesda are not about to stop any time soon, either- it appears as though some new crafting options may be made available in the upcoming DLC, Far Harbor (which is going to be the largest bit of post launch content for the game, and is expected to be the largest bit of post launch content period that Bethesda have ever worked on).
New crafting categories have been found for barns and Vim Machines (which are probably going to be vending machines for Nuka Cola and the like)- which, okay, having a Vim Machine handy would be fine, but what the heck do I put in a barn? One of the Wasteland’s horrific, mutated beasts? I’m already pitting them against each other in my Wasteland Workshop arenas!
Fallout 4: Far Harbor will launch on PS4, Xbox One, and PC in May.
