Fallout 4: In-Game Locations Versus Real Life Boston

There are several historic spots that are plenty good looking.

Ever since Fallout 4 has launched there has been a lot of talk about how realistic the setting of the title is. One particular Reddit user has even gone so far as to take some pictures of some of the most famous places in Boston and compared them to the way they look in the game. One thing we can take from this is that Bethesda went out of its way to make sure the game looks pretty realistic.

Of course, some of the pictures depict parts of Boston that aren’t support to be left standing, so there is some destruction there but they are still quite identifiable. The Bunker Hill Monument especially has a look that is almost photorealistic. This kind of touch is hardly new to the video game world. When someone puts together a game that is supposed to be set in a real world place, these days the game has to look like someplace where people have actually seen the things before.

You can check out the photos below and see how places like the Boston’s Custom House Tower and some other spots have been given life in Fallout 4. The developers seem to have done a good job of putting two different worlds together, combining the historic look and feel with new features such as being able to build a settlement makes the game that much better. Check out the video below and tell us what you think.
