Bethesda will finally be bringing mods to consoles this Tuesday, starting with the Xbox One- on Twitter, Bethesda confirmed that Fallout 4 on Xbox One will be getting mods starting May 31, finally fulfilling a promise that was made over a year ago at E3 last year.
Only official mods will work with the console versions of the games, meaning only the ones made with Bethesda’s official Creation Kit. Mods on consoles will initially be limited to being just 2GB in size, which is a size limit that may be lifted later. If you play a game with a mod, all achievements will be disabled, and your save files will be segregated by how whether or not you had mods active on it, and which ones.
Bethesda also confirmed that the PS4 would be getting mods later in June, as well- so PS4 owners, don’t worry, you’re not going to be missing out on the modding action for too long.
