Even though the official modkit is not yet out for the game, Fallout 4 is getting all manner of mods. A lot of these seem to be focused on base building, the one aspect of the game which has not been hopelessly streamlined to appeal to a wider audience. The newest one of these is called Higher Settlement Budget, and according to developer GrimTech – PatrickJr, it allows the player to go over the limit placed by Bethesda and build more for their settlements.
The mod works in conjunction with with a batch file created by Jobac, which adds 1,000 pieces of each junk item for crafting or 1,000 of each ammo type. You can either download the batch file, or you can copy and paste the items, listed on NexusMods, and paste them into a text file, which then has to be placed inside the Fallout 4 folder.
The modding scene for the game promises to grow more vibrant, as the Creation Kit is set to launch for the game next year- and for the first time ever, console gamers will be able to get in on the fun too, if only in a more curated fashion.
