Fallout 4 Now Available for Pre-Order in India

War never changes, but considerations of local cultural sensibilities apparently do.

Bethesda’s eagerly anticipated Fallout 4 is now available to pre-order for Indian players and gamers as well, courtesy of e-xpress Interactive Software. The leading distributor of video games in the country will be responsible for making the PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 versions of the game available in the region. e-xpress assures us that Fallout 4 can now be pre-ordered with all major online and physical retailers. This means you can probably head on over to Amazon or Flipkart to reserve your copy right now, or just walk into a Croma, Reliance Digital, Planet M, or Games the Shop and do it in person.

Fallout 4’s availability in India marks a major change for the franchise, as this will be the first game in the series to be officially made available in the territory on consoles (the PC versions have all been available for each game in the series). Previously, Fallout 3 and New Vegas had to forego a release in India, thanks to the mutant cows named Brahman in the games, in fear of offending religious sensibilities. It will be interesting to see if that is a factor this time around.

Fallout 4 will cost ₹2,499 for PC, and ₹3,999 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
