Fallout 4 Survival Mode Now Available on Xbox One and PS4

Plus some tinkering behind the scenes to prepare the game for Far Harbor too.

Fallout 4‘s Survival Mode update is now out on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, finally bringing the significantly harder difficulty mode, which changes multiple game mechanics to bring Fallout 4 more in line with the older games in the series, to consoles. If you are a fan of classic Fallout who, for some reason, decided to only play the new game on consoles, then this will probably be good news for you.

In addition to enabling Survival Mode on consoles, this update also does behind the scenes tinkering to lay the groundwork for the upcoming Fallout 4 DLC, Far HarborFar Harbor is supposed to be the largest bit of post launch DLC that Bethesda have ever worked on- and since Bethesda have worked on some truly impressively extensive post launch DLC before, that gets me very excited, even though I can’t say I am much of a fan of Fallout 4 at all.

Fallout 4 is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
