Development has begun on the post launch downloadable content of Fallout 4, Bethesda confirmed. This DLC will begin releasing in 2016, and the game will be supported at least through to the end of that year. With Bethesda having offered some excellent expansion packs for their previous games – The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, and Fallout 3 all got excellent DLC – fans are understandably excited to see how Fallout 4 will be supported as well.
It’s not going to be just DLC that will be released for the game either- Bethesda also confirmed that it plans to take fan feedback, being submitted through various channels such as social media, into account, to release free title updates for the game. Considering just how great a job CD Projekt RED have done with supporting The Witcher 3 with massive, excellent feature rich updates, Bethesda at this point really would not have much of a choice but to support the game with fan feedback influenced changes.
Fallout 4 is out now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
