Hot on the heels of the announcement that Fallout 4 was getting its first patch next week, Pete Hines took to Twitter to talk about the fact the game will be getting DLC on the PC, the Xbox One and the PS4 at the same time. The exec brought it up after he was asked on the social media website about some rumors that the game’s DLC was going to be coming to the Xbox One first.
Hines responded that there was no exclusive DLC and when the user clarified that he didn’t mean the DLC wasn’t ever coming to the PS4 or the PC, simply that it wasn’t coming to the other platforms at the same time. Hines responded, “that falls under the category of “exclusive”. one platform getting it before others is a timed exclusive. No, not doing that.” It seems as though that put those rumors to rest once and for all.
Hines also talked about the fact that Bethesda as a company is not a big fan of console commands. He was asked whether the firm would be bringing console commands to the PS4. He responded, “definitely not. we do not recommend use of console commands for PC players. they screw up their save games.” Finally, the exec was asked about why there was a limit to the amount of saves users have. While Bethesda was getting blamed for the lack of space he responded “games on console get allocated space. We aren’t allowed to just use as much as we want.”
