Far Cry 3 Patch Adds Outpost Reset, Master Difficulty and Map Beta Test

Welcome (back) to the jungle.

Far Cry 3, Ubisoft’s critically and commercially acclaimed first person, open world shooter, is still going strong as Ubisoft Montreal releases a new patch for both mulitplayer and single-player modes which adds some much requested features to the main game.

For instance, in single-player, you can now choose to reset all the liberated outposts after completing the game and take on a new Master difficulty with more powerful enemies and far more threatening wildlife.

Multiplayer features include Map Beta Test, which lets you test out maps with regular players and spectate to see how the action flows. You can also see maps by author, utilize longer times and more visibility when skipping map voting and play a new mini-game on the Outpost website and for smartphones called The Grid.

Idle kick has also been removed from custom and private matches. Now you can stand around and do nothing without consequence…until your friends get fed up of you, that is.

The new patch is now live for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
