Far Cry 5 – 60 FPS Patch is Now Live on Xbox Series X/S and PS5

The shooter runs at 3840x2160 resolution on Xbox Series X and 2880x1620 resolution on PS5. A free weekend is also coming next week.

After teasing the same recently, Ubisoft has released a next-gen patch for Far Cry 5 to celebrate the game’s fifth anniversary. It enables 60 FPS on Xbox Series X/S and PS5, which applies to the base game and its three DLCs.

Xbox Series X players also get a nice little bonus with support for 3840×2160 resolution, while Xbox Series S players can run it at 1920×1080. On PS5, it tops out at 2880×1620 resolution. Those wanting to test the higher frame rate and resolution but don’t own the game can partake in the upcoming free weekend.

It runs from March 23rd to 27th, while discounts are available on the Ubisoft Store until April 4th. You can even pick it up on Steam for a whopping 85 percent off.
