Far Cry: New Dawn Releasing on February 15th 2019, First Gameplay Trailer Revealed

Set after Far Cry 5's nuclear ending, the trailer gives off a RAGE 2-like vibe.

Ubisoft have announced Far Cry: New Dawn at The Game Awards 2018, confirming a recent leak of for the game’s name, and surprisingly provided release date. It’s out on February 15th, 2019 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. The reveal trailer showcased some story elements and gameplay, and as suspected, it’s set after the nuclear ending of Far Cry 5. Check it out below.

In Far Cry: New Dawn, it’s a new world order, much akin to Mad Max. Players will have dirt bikes for transport, and various kinds of havoc can be caused. The characters from the cover art leaked earlier seem to indeed be the antagonists… or maybe they’re just misunderstood. Time will certainly tell, though we did catch a glimpse of Joseph Seed, the antagonist of Far Cry 5, to add further intrigue.

Though we get a major RAGE 2 vibe from the setting, it looks unique enough to warrant notice. The real question is: How much is the map from Far Cry 5 changing? Will there be enough new features to warrant a deeper look? There’s still plenty of time to find, out so stay tuned for more information.
