FBC: Firebreak PC Hotfix Improves Matchmaking, Fixes Connection Error Message

Players matchmaking through "Select Job" should see some improvements. Cross-platform matchmaking has also improved overall.

Remedy Entertainment’s FBC: Firebreak launched yesterday, and while it isn’t live service title, it’s set to receive post-launch support. Fans will have to wait for more content since the first major update arrives this Fall. In the meantime, a new hotfix is available on PC (with other platforms to follow), addressing matchmaking woes.

FBC: Firebreak offers two matchmaking options: Quick Play with parameters for Clearance and Threat Levels on any Job and Select Job, which allows for a specific mission. However, the latter wasn’t providing the best matchmaking experience. The hotfix should address that, meaning fewer solo matches and “significantly” improved cross-play matchmaking as well.

You should see a “Party Disbanded” message when the host leaves a party rather than a message denoting a connection error. It’s a small hotfix overall, but expect more updates in the coming weeks.

FBC: Firebreak is available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC, alongside Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass and PlayStation Plus Extra/Premium. Check out our review here.
