FIFA 14 Arriving on October 4th? Turkish League to Return

One of the biggest Leagues in the world is making a comeback.

Although the FIFA series has been known to launch before the deluge of high profile titles in fall, this year’s FIFA 14 might be the exception to the rule. UK retailer GAME carried a listing for the game that indicated an October 4th release for Xbox 360 and PS3 (it has since been changed to say “TBC 2013”).

Oddly enough, Amazon listed a September 24th release date and even revealed information on an as of yet unannounced PlayStation Vita. The release date has since been taken down.

Another interesting development is that the Turkish League ma be making a return to the series. The managing department of the Turkish Union of Clubs answered fan queries about the same, stating that, “We are at the contract signing stage with EA Games. Deal will be done in few days. Our league will definitely be included in the game.”

After a match fixing scandal, the Turkish League was out from FIFA – that didn’t stop fans from wanting them back though, with players like Didier Drogba, Reto Ziegler, Mamadou Niang and others involved.

FIFA 14 will be the next title in the vaunted sports series. EA recently reported that FIFA 13 had sold more than 14.5 million copies since its release in September 2012. FIFA 14 is expected to go even further when it releases for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 (and of course, Wii U and PS Vita when they get announced).
