FIFA 22 is Back on Top of Weekly UK Retail Charts

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Call of Duty: Vanguard take second and third place respectively. There are no new releases in the top 10.

Last week was big one for physical video game sales in the UK, with Black Friday sales and deals seeing major sales boosts for a number of games. Things are relatively quiet this week, with FIFA 22 climbing back into the pole position, in spite of sales for the game being 33% lower than they were last week (via GamesIndustry). Meanwhile, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe drops down to second place, while Call of Duty: Vanguard comes in at No. 3

Pokemon Brilliant Diamond is in at No. 4, with the remake continuing to sell at a solid pace, while the other half of the duo, Pokemon Shining Pearl, also figures in the top 10, taking the tenth spot. Just Dance 2022 takes No. 5, and the game is unsurprisingly selling “tens of thousands” more copies on the Switch than it is on any other platform.

The Switch’s dominance is a general trend in the charts for this week, with Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Mario Party Superstars also making it into the top 10 once more. The Switch version of Minecraft is in there as well, at No. 7. Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy at No. 8 rounds out the top 10.
