Square Enix’s Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn has been going great since director Naoki Yoshida was brought on board. It has a new paid expansion on the way with Stormblood and remains imminently popular.
However, it’s still exclusive to PS4 and PC. Will it ever come to Nintendo Switch or even Xbox One? When posed this question by Finder, Yoshida said, “We want as many players joining Final Fantasy 14 as possible.”
To help bring that about, the developer is constantly looking at different options for other platforms. Of course, this means talking to the likes of Microsoft and Nintendo to make things happen. “We need to make sure Nintendo and Microsoft understand what we do and have them know about our online and QA regulations. We believe these conversations will take a long time.”
It wouldn’t hurt if the community support for these versions also existed as per Yoshida. Would you like to Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn on Xbox One and Switch? Let us know in the comments.
