While we don’t yet know exactly when Final Fantasy 15 is finally going to hit store shelves, it appears there are a few clues dropping in the last couple of weeks. Last week, we found out there is apparently going to be an “active time report” about the game coming next month. Now we’ve got an even bigger clue … maybe. On the official Amazon store page in Japan, the game has an actual release date of November 30, 2016.
Obviously, you shouldn’t start popping champaign corks just yet as there are usually a couple of release dates on store web pages that end up being nothing more than place holders. On the other hand, November 30 seems to be a rather specific date for it to be nothing more than a place holder. At the same time Amazon has done this thing before. There have been a number of games that had a leaked release date only to have to change the date later.
Another piece of information that would seem to point to this date being off is it isn’t the same in the United States version of the Amazon. The US version of the site says the release date is December 30, 2016. It’s possible Final Fantasy 15 is going to be hitting Japanese stores a month before the United States, but it’s also possible these dates are wholly inaccurate, we’ll just have to wait and see. Take this report with a grain of salt in the meantime.
