Square Enix’s Final Fantasy 15 is one the most anticipated games of the decade. Previously known as Final Fantasy Versus XIII, the game has seen its share of development challenges. The game was re-introduced as Final Fantasy 15 at E3 2013 but since then the developers have hardly revealed any information about the game.
As a retrospective, we take a look at how the graphics in the game has evolved in the last few years. The comparison, drafted by Neogaf user Bazztek, pits screenshots from the PS3 gameplay trailer released in 2011 and the E3 2013 trailer which was running on the PC. The comparison, as expected shows an impressive upgrade in graphics and lighting effects. However the animations have largely remain the same.
It’s important to note that the E3 2013 demo was using Yebis engine for optical effects and its use in the final retail version is uncertain. Final Fantasy 15 currently has no release date, however it is expected that the game will release in 2015 on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. What are your thoughts on this comparison?
