Forza 6 Apex is “Curated Experience Designed for Windows 10”

Hence the lack of cross-platform play.

Though one of the potential features of Xbox One exclusives coming to Windows 10 was cross-platform play, Forza 6: Apex won’t be supporting that when it releases in Spring.

Xbox marketing head Aaron Greenberg replied on Twitter to a question about the same with, “No, it is a curated experience designed for Windows 10.”

Will cross-platform play arrive somewhere along the way? Greenberg said, “We want to enable where we can, takes time to build the ecosystem. Getting [Apex] on Windows 10 [is the] first step.”

Cross-platform play could be especially tough when you consider that Forza 6: Apex isn’t the same as the base game – it’s a free to play version for Windows 10 with a lesser number of cars and tracks.

Now that future Forza Motorsport titles are heading to PC along with Xbox One (Horizon is still up in the air), it’s possible cross-platform play arrives in the future. For Forza 6: Apex though, don’t count on it at launch.
